How To Write Your Review
Follow our format while writting your review
Step One
Create a Google Document titled: "______(Name of the Book) Review - _____(Your Full Name)". Start with the section "Summary and Recommendation" stating a short summary of the book (without revealing too much about the plot - no spoilers!) and why you recommend it (avoid using "I believe.." or "I think.."). Then, include a personal rating out of 5 stars. Next, include an appropriate age rating along with an explanation to why it may not be suitable for a younger age range.
Step Two
Include a section titled "For Teachers" where you explain how and why this book is relevant for English teachers to assign as a summer read or for class. Then, add images of three books that are similar to yours and possibly explain why they are similar (optional). Finally, add images of three other books that were written by the same author as the book chosen by you.
Step Three
Add a separate section titled "EDUCATIONAL HELP". In this section, include subsections such as SAT words and helpful vocabulary in the book, including some examples. Then, include a paragraph mentioning the book's coordination with other classes besides English, showing how else it can be useful for students. Also, add a paragraph about the amount of time needed for the book, including the full estimated time needed to read, how long it would take to finish if you read 30 minutes per day, and how many classes it would take if you were reading it in class (for teachers).
Step Four
Lastly, include a quick summary about the author and ways to contact them such as their email, their team's email, their mail, and their website (if they have one). Finally, remember to include the link to any websites used for research. Then, share it with the email shown in the "Click Here" button above and we'll get back to you soon!
